高雄甲仙區|

甲仙位於荖濃溪上游,為台灣南部山區的農業樞紐。山谷開展、岩層豐富,為香蕉、芋頭、竹林的共生地。早年由客家族群拓墾,近年則與東南亞新住民共構新型農村樣貌。語言、植物、飲食的多樣性,使這裡成為一座活的風味實驗場。

Jiaxian lies along the upper Laonong River, forming an agricultural corridor in southern Taiwan’s mountains. Known for bananas, taro, and bamboo, it is a living archive of Hakka traditions and, more recently, Southeast Asian immigrant cultures.

This confluence of languages and land use creates a vibrant culinary landscape. Chickens raised here are balanced in build and flavor, producing bright fat profiles perfect for spice-rich or medium-heat preparations.
